Fatih Sultan Mehmet English Proficiency Test (FSMEPT) is an English Proficiency Exam held for Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University students. This exam is an Upper-intermediate (B2) level exam. It consists of reading, writing, listening and speaking parts. The passing grade is 65 points out of 100.

Newcomers FSMEPT I-II: FSMEPT Newcomers I which is for only newcomers who are 1st placement undergraduate students and  FSMEPT Newcomers II which is for only newcomers who are 2nd placement undergraduate students; are proficiency exams administered at the beginning of the academic year.

FSMEPT Mid-Year: This is the exam administered at the end of the fall semester for students who are studying in the English preparatory program. In order to take this exam, students are required to complete at least Intermediate (B1) level successfully and fulfil the conditions of attendance.

FSMEPT Final: The English proficiency test for students registered with the English preparatory program; organized in June when the English language program is completed. In order to take this exam, students are required to complete at least Intermediate (B1) level successfully and meet the attendance criteria.

FSMEPT Undergraduate: The English proficiency exam which is held during the fall of each academic year for students who are unable to complete the preparatory program successfully before starting their degree.

Graduate FSMEPT I-II: The proficiency exam for prospective students applying to the University's graduate programs; held in accordance with the demands of the institute that the graduate programs are affiliated to. FSMEPT Graduate I is held in the fall semester and Graduate FSMEPT II is held in the spring semester.

Erasmus FSMEPT I-II: An English proficiency test held for students who want to go abroad with the Erasmus exchange program.
